SWICON deals with the switchgear and controlgear industry in depth, and since inception in 1984 the conference has been viewed as a forum for exchange of information, technical discussions, and trend analysis.
SWICON 2004 had Switzerland's Professor Dr. Klaus Fröhlich delivering the keynote address on 'Medium and High Voltage Switchgears, State-of-the-Art Perspectives. This year, expect Denis Dufournet delivering a keynote address on 'IEC & IEEE Standards for High Voltage Switchgears and Controlgears', and Doctor Carl - Ejnar Solver delivering another keynote address on 'Trends in High Voltage AIS Switchgears and Impact or Substation Solutions’.
Other than discussions on emerging future trends, state-of-the-art technology and International practices, and global experiences, also expect the presentation of around sixty technical papers covering the areas of low voltage switchgears, medium voltage switchgears, high voltage switchgears / disconnectors, testing and standards, control, protection and communications, user feedback, and testing.
