The formal launch of the Mall will be on Sunday, March 21, 2010, by Smt. Sudha Murthy, Chairperson, Infosys Foundation in the Presence of Parampujya Jagdguru Sri Sri Sri, Balagangaddharanatha Mahaswamiji and Rashtrakavi Shri G S Shivarudrappa, Eminent Litterateur will preside over the function. Shri. Anantha Kumar, MP, Bangalore South Constituency and Shri Ramesh Aravind, Cine Artist will be the Chief Guests. Shri Ramalinga Reddy, MLA, BTM Layout Constituency and Shri Syed Zameer Pasha, Managing Director, B.M.T.C will be the Guests of Honour.
Spread over 23,000 sq feet and tastefully furnished, fully air-conditioned, the new book mall will be divided into various levels based on categories and products. The mall is also equipped with reserved basement parking for its shoppers. The ground and first floor will contain of non books like CD ROMS, accessories, stationeries, movies, music, toys, chocolates, greeting cards, fashion jewellery, gifts and sports goods. The second floor will contain non academic books for children and other books like fiction, non-fiction, business, photography, gardening, cookery books, religion and philosophy, the third floor will have academic books for U G and P G books, technical, medical books and also a large section of Kannada books.
