-- Journalist-turned-author Rashmi Kumar launched her first book titled Stilettos in the Newsroom today at Hard Rock Café, New Delhi. The book was unveiled by Mr. Pankaj Pachauri, who himself is a veteran in the Indian media for over 20 years and was also the chief guest for the occasion. The event witnessed the presence of multiple young, dynamic and talented Delhiites coming together at Hard Rock Café for this unique affair and enjoyed the book launch along with great music and delectable food.
The book comes right from precincts of a newsroom and is a lighter take on the life and times of a young female journalist thrown in with anecdotes and struggles that usually a struggling journalist has to endure. The book is written in a youthful, energetic and comical language aimed to make the reader smile and simply appreciate it for what it is. It is simply journalism, the way it is, through the eyes of a fun-loving young woman reporter. Rashmi has been a journalist herself for over eight years and has worked for some of the major publications in Delhi and spent two years working in Pune.
During the launch, Kapish Mehra, CEO, Rupa & Co said, "We believe in extending our commitment to creating a platform for new authors - we are more than happy to publish the works by Rashmi who we think is an extremely promising young author."
