Bengaluru, Karnataka, July 1, 2014 /India PRwire/ -- Global animal health leader, Alltech prides itself on providing scientific-based solutions to address local challenges of the agriculture industry. The company mantra of Thinking Globally, Acting Locally was truly personified as Alltech India Production celebrated its 10th anniversary on Monday, June 16 in Bangalore.

"It is a significant 10 year milestone for the Alltech India Production team at our state of the art facility," said Dr. Aman Sayed, Alltech General Manager, South Asia. The 45,000 square feet facility runs 24 hours hours a day, seven days a week to serve local and Asian markets. "This incredible journey started 10 years ago and our production capacity has grown at 20% annually," commented Dr. Aman. With an ever-increasing On-farm presence, Alltech now offers over 70 customized solutions across species to farmers and feed millers in the region.

The facility is ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management Systems certified to meet high quality standards. The manufacturing plant has implemented the Alltech Quality System (AQS) since its fruition. AQS is designed to ensure that every product shipped is safe, consistent and traceable. AQS is implemented in all of Alltech's production facilities, blending sites and warehouses across the globe.

Ravindra Neralla, Alltech Asia Pacific Projects Manager, Operations, who has been with Alltech for 10 years, told attendees that without a strong foundation, Alltech wouldn't have built a successful platform for performance. Due to be completed by the end of the 3rd quarter, Alltech is investing hugely in expansion which aims to further strengthen its presence in India and Asia. On the anniversary celebration, Neralla congratulated the production and quality team members saying, "You have worked tirelessly in building a strong organization that we are proud of."
