In a glittering ceremony held in the Capital today to mark the occasion of successful completion of 10 years since inception of Air Hostess Academy (AHA), Smt Ambika Soni, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism and Culture unveiled AHA’s Winning Strategies: Serving with a Smile, the first authoritative handbook on building successful careers in aviation and hospitality management authored by Ms Sapna Gupta, Founder and Director Air Hostess Academy (AHA). Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Mr. Rajeev Shukla also graced the momentous occasion of book launch as the Guest of Honour.

Air Hostess Academy (AHA) pioneers of aviation and hospitality training in India and largest provider of skilled manpower pool to the services industry (aviation and hospitality) kicked off celebrations of their 10 years of Flying Success with the launch of this book.

Dedicating the book to the students aspiring to build successful careers in the aviation and hospitality industry, Ms. Sapna Gupta, Founder & Director, Air Hostess Academy (AHA) said, “Through this book I have attempted to share the knowledge and experience that I have gained over the years with youth aspiring to carve a career in the booming aviation and hospitality sector. The text book ‘Winning Strategies: Serving with a Smile’ by Ms Sapna Gupta highlights the aspects of soft skill training for the service industry with a specific focus on aviation and hospitality. The book published in an interesting and interactive format contains snap exercises, easy to do, self administered psychometric tools and survey instruments that help the reader gain a good insight.

Speaking on the occasion the Hon’ble Minister of Tourism and Culture exhorted the young aspirants to give due importance and cognisance to soft skills besides the acquired professional skills to succeed in their chosen career.

‘Winning Strategies: Serving with a Smile’ gives a comprehensive overview of the entire spectrum of job opportunities in the service industry including the size, scope and growth opportunities in the aviation and, hospitality sectors. The unambiguous definition of soft skills and its varied aspects that are much needed for these sectors has been well presented in the book. The book throws light on rationale for acquiring right soft skills and their impact on placement and performance of candidates applying for a job in these sector giving them discerning tips.

Mr. Rajeev Shukla, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) appreciated Ms. Gupta’s dedication and hard work in writing this handbook for the students aspiring at building careers in new age service industry such as the aviation and hospitality industry.

On the occasion of its golden decade celebrations Ms Sapna Gupta also shared the future plans of AHA. Ms Gupta mentioned that “AHA is now poised to increase its presence by 100 learning centers in the next five years.”
