Sabre Holdings Corporation is further strengthening its India presence by expanding its Global Solutions Centre (GSC) based in the IT Park, Bangalore. The Sabre Holdings GSC currently employs about 250 highly skilled technical staff with plans to increase employee strength to 550 in the coming years.

Sabre Holdings has a dominant share of travel distribution and technology solutions for the global travel industry, and also offers retail travel products to millions of customers worldwide.

Disclosing Sabre’s plans during Sam Gilliland’s India trip, Mr. Vish Viswanathan, Regional Vice President, Sabre Holdings, said, “In the past couple of years since its launch, the Indian GSC has delivered excellent services, including development, delivery, research and quality, to our global operations as well as to our key customers. We look to further integrate our India operations in global technology support development.”

Sabre’s India GSC provides a range of high-end technology services to a number of Sabre’s global business units, including Sabre Airlines Solutions, Sabre Travel Network, Travelocity, lastminute.com and GetThere. The Centre also offers solutions delivery support to local airlines such as Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines.
