Vintage & Classic Automobiles Go Online in India on November 7, 2009

The first ever club website in India devoted exclusively to vintage & classic automobiles (www.hmci.org) was launched on Saturday, November 7, 2009 by the Heritage Motoring Club of India (HMCI).

New Delhi, Delhi, November 9, 2009 /India PRwire/ -- The first ever club website in India devoted exclusively to vintage & classic automobiles (www.hmci.org) was launched on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 12 noon by the Heritage Motoring Club of India (HMCI). The website was launched by Mr. K. T. S. Tulsi, President of the Heritage Motoring Club of India at W21/11 Western Avenue, Sanik Farms, New Delhi amidst a rare collection of forty vintage and classic cars and motorcycles belonging to members of the HMCI.

The launch of the club website will be followed by lunch. To make the afternoon even more interesting, all guests present will be given an opportunity to judge the vintage and classic cars and motorcycles on display based on which the most elegant car and motorcycle will be awarded prizes.

Following the success of the HMCI journal "Classic Wheels", which is India's only classic automobile journal, the website will offer a forum for vintage and classic automobile enthusiasts to share their passion for these timeless beauties. In addition to offering information about the HMCI, the website will assist in locating spares for vintage and classic automobiles and help you restore your classic. The website will take you down memory lane and introduce you to Automobiles of the Royals. You can also download and subscribe to "Classic Wheels" the first ever journal published on vintage and classic automobiles. Other features of the website include a library, a showcase of automotive fine arts and automobilia, a review of past HMCI events and activities planned, an opportunity to participate in forthcoming events and donate to social causes supported by the HMCI as well an opportunity to advertise on the website.

The website has been designed by well known New York website designer Ms. Shahana Garg of DBar Inc.

The Heritage Motoring Club of India was founded in 2001. It has 200 members across India owning more than 3000 Vintage & Classic Cars. The club actively organizes two to three events every month throughout October to March when the weather is ideal for running vintage cars over a long distance.
