New Delhi, Delhi, July 16, 2009 /India PRwire/ -- Bajaj Capital, an investment advisory company and distributor of financial products which has diversified into art advisory services with the launch of Bajaj Capital Art House (BCAH) last year celebrates its completion of one year with an annual art show titled – Beyond The Form; a group exhibition of paintings and sculptures by fourteen contemporary artists at Visual Arts Gallery in Delhi and at Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai.

Says Rajiv Deep Bajaj, vice-chairman and managing director, Bajaj Capital: “Despite the current market slowdown, the market for Indian art is still substantial and varied, with increased global interest from art collectors, investors and auction houses lining up to tap the estimated Rs. 50 billion Indian mart. BCAH’s art advisory services are being offered to clients with financial assets of Rs 50 lakh and with great success. Services include art exhibitions and events, online shows, an interactive website, personalized portfolios, art education initiatives as well as advice on buying, selection, display, insurance, handling, care and conservation. Pricing, selling, evaluation, authentication and provenance have been a part of BCAH's all inclusive services, carefully monitored and individually tailored. This year, at our annual celebration show, we have introduced the ‘BCAH Artists Fellowship’ that will support or promote one mid-career artist selected after a careful selection process.”

Says Anu Bajaj, CEO, Bajaj Capital Art House (BCAH): “In this annual show, BCAH has brought forth an eclectic mix of quality art that promises to bring a cheer for all art aficionados. There are stunning paintings and sculptures by star artists Krishen Khanna, Satish Gujral, Jagdish Chinthala and Paresh Maity while equally remarkable canvases have been contributed by some of the young luminaries including George Martin P.J, Viveek Sharma, Nitish Bhattacharjee and Sunil Padwal. Mixed media has been used dramatically by Vivek Vilasini and Murali Cheeroth who will also be presenting a video installation. While Anil Gaikwad works with juxtaposition of old and new materials, T.M. Azis works is oil on canvas. Jayasri and Maya Burman bring alive the old world charm and reflections of folk form in their contemporary coloration. The works in the show are all unique and refreshingly special - indeed a collector’s delight.”

Says Sushma Bahl, curator of the show: “Along with an aesthetic pleasure, art is also a good investment avenue as its value grows considerably with time. If you compare it with stocks or even gold, the volatility is much less and the valuation of art pieces always maintains an upward trend. This show promises art which will have a long-lasting value both aesthetically and investment-wise.”
