About Shree Parshwa Padmavathi Seva Mandal:
The founder of Sri Parshwa Padmavathi Shaktipitha in the holy land of Krishnagiri, in Tamil Nadu is the legendary saint and visionary His Holiness Sri Vasanth Gurudev. Vasant means spring in Hindi and this great Guru practically brings spring in the loves of his devotees worldwide in the form of transforming them spiritually.
Born to Sri Kevalchandji Chajjed and Smt. Ugmabai Chajjed on March 5, 1970 in Krishnagiri, he became at the tender age of eight, desperate to discover the truths of life. He wanted to know why somebody is subject to suffering and misery while someone else has access to all the comforts and luxuries in live. He saw his sister suffering, his brother dying and his mother grieving and the little boy Vasanth became restless to know the root of all suffering. He wanted to know why people are conditioned by ignorance, delusion, deprivation and suffering. The voice cried in the wilderness and searched answers in the service of enlightened masters and devotion.
He then met the then Shankaracharya who inspired him to follow the tradition in which he was born. Subsequently, Jainacharya Sri Bhuvanbhanusuriji Maharaj blessed him with a beautiful picture of Sri Shankheshwara Parshwanatha which the Acharya used to keep with him always.
When the boy got the same he remained engrossed in deep contemplation and devotion and thus began the journey of an inspiring devotee of Parshwanatha.
In an attempt to alleviate the growing environmental problems, conflicts and tensions, and to reinstate peace in this world, several pujas were conducted under the guidance of His Holiness Sri Vasanth Gurudev for 10 days from September 30, 2008, at Leicester Tiger Ground, Leicester, and London. At this event many dignitaries and saints from around the globe were present. The sole aim of His Holiness Sri Vasanth Gurudev was to spread the world of love and echo the message of non-violence around the world.
