Agroup show like “Rhythm of Colors’08” reveals the variations & combinationsof colors that emerge from different techniques & styles used by artists;from the relatively monochromatic pallet of Vinod Sharma, the beautiful “eye” byRaamji Sharmaa to multi heued canvases of Seema Kohli. The significance oftraditional colors is also visualized in a direct or indirect form in the show;with the flute of Krishna by Bratin Khan tobeautiful hanuman by Ramesh Godzala.
BratinKhan’s who is a very prominent artist of India, participated in Christie’s2001-02 has once again created a masterpiece “Krishna- Sudama” with a beautiful/ mild color story displaying the magic created by Krishna’s flute.. Khan lives& works in Kolkata.Seema Kohli’s vivid & multi layered pallet &vibrant colors add-on to the beautiful theme of Lord Vishnu & Lakshmi Jiwith beautifuls floating angels. Seema lives & works in Delhi.. Suhas Roy is regarded as one of themodern masters of Bengal school. His oeuvre isdominated by depiction of female figures & forms, which are informed bycertain romanticism. Suhas dada lives & works in Kolkota.
