Recently (on 21st April) a group show of various artists; Arup Das, Alka Raghuvanshi, Gouri Sahni, Jai Jharotia, Jamini Roy, Kartik Payne, K.S. Kulkarni, Naresh Kapuria, Nupur Kundu, Paresh Maity, Sanjay Bhattacharya, Santosh More, Shanti Dave, Shovin Bhattacharjee, Subroto Kundu & Shuchi Khanna, entitled 'Measure for Measure' was organised at Visual Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre, Delhi. The fund from the exhibition sales will go for funding the NGO “Auvsar”, set up to look after the destitute and the needy. The exhibition will continue till 25th April 2008.

Pavan Verma, Ashok Vajpayee, Varija Bajaj, Alka Raghuvanshi, Gouri Sahni, Naresh Kapuria, Nupur Kundu, Shovin Bhattacharjee, Subroto Kundu, Shuchi Khanna, Bhaichand Patel, Aruna Vasudev, Rahul-Gunjan (Fashion Designer), Rekha Surya and many others were present there during the opening ceremony of exhibition.

The show has been curated by Delhi based artist Gouri Sahni. According to Gouri, as far back as I can recall I have felt the pain of under priviledged as my own. Thinking in constenation I have craved to be able to do something for them, to be able to provide an attenate life, that they would cherish. Hence, in the past, I have supported them in my own little ways. Today with support of my dear friends, I am ready to set up an NGO titled “AUVSAR”, which will help translate my dream to reality and thereby help me nurture the talent, hidden in every human being and provide a platform which is otherwise tedious to get. Measure for Measure is our first effort in raising funds for AUVSAR. On this occasion Gouri applauded the efforts of Pavan K. Verma, Ashok Vajpayee, Shobha Broota and all her artist friends for their participation and support for the exhibition.
