Nikhil Parekh elected 'Poet of the Year' at Canadian Federation of Poets
Canadian Federation of Poets now endorsed by Governor General of Canada chooses Nikhil Parekh as its 'Poet of the Year' for 2006.
Tweet-- The Canadian Federation of Poets (CFP), have announced the winner of 'Poet of the Year' for year 2006. Internationally acclaimed Indian Poet Nikhil Parekh has bagged yet another coveted honor at the federation. Featured in the federation's 'Poetry Canada' magazine and also elected its 'Indian Chair', Parekh is now 'Poet of the Year' at the Canadian Federation of Poets (FederationofPoets.com)
President of CFP, Tracy Lynn Repchuk attributed this great honor to Parekh primarily because of him being instrumental in seeking the federation National Government exposure and promoting CFP activities in India. Parekh's unceasing attempts of seeking patronage for the CFP, from the Governor General of Canada via several e-mail correspondences with her, bore fruit and brought much jubilation to the federation. The commencement of year 2007 brought ultimate glory to the CFP, when headlines broke of the Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaelle Jean , Governor General of Canada, officially lending her endorsement and noble patronage to the Federation. Nikhil Parekh, is also a double world record holder with Limca Book of Records India, only 2nd in World Rankings to Guinness book. He's entered the book for two prestige records of 'Being India's 1st and only Winner of the EPPIE award for best poetry e-book in history of the EPPIE Awards' and 'Writing most number of letters to and receiving the most number of replies from World Leaders and World Organizations'.
