Voluntary Youth Initiative towards Village Development
Ghaziabad / At present when development is restricted to the metros only, the youth of Ravli Kalan, a village in Murad Nagar, district Ghaziabad, of UP, have taken a brave step to form 'Ravli Gram Vikas Samiti' to push further the village on the path of development all by themselves. The main motive behind the formation of this committee is to use the human and other resources for the development of the village and its people. The committee is also looking forward to include other nearby villages and thus is having the vision of carrying forward this development work first on regional and then on national level.

'Ravli Gram Vikas Samiti’ president Mr. Sonu Tyagi, who is a heading Approach Communications, one of the leading PR, Media and Rural communications organization and editor of soon to be launched magazine focusing on rural people and lives, says ‘the most important motive behind the formation of ‘Ravli Gram Vikas Samiti’ is to take the burden of development as much as possible by ourselves, by using available human resource, basically the youth. Not only this, the committee will also co-operate and try to solve personal as well as professional problems of the farmers, students and females of the village’.
According to the committee, for the development of the villages and saving the rural youth from the feeling of left behind, it is very important to bring them forward and ensure their participation in the different development programs.
The committee will also be taking care of the problems relating to unemployment amongst the rural youth by giving individual counseling and attention and by sharing the information on opportunities available in the different segments. From time to time the committee will be organizing workshops and seminars to motivate and increase the participation of the rural youth.
Camps on dangerous and life threatening diseases will be conducted with the help of NGO’s and different government organizations, where with free-treatment, the information on diseases like AIDS, TB, Cancer, will be given. Even family welfare programs will be initiated.
The main agenda for the committee at present is to lead the youth in right direction in choosing carriers, to solve the problems of the rural youth, to ensure proper respect to the elders, solving the personal problems of the rural women and to help them start with small scale business, arranging education for poor and orphan children’s, to educate farmers on the latest technique’s of farming, to educate and inform about socio-political rights to the villagers, to give them social security irrespective of there cast and creed, since spreading the feeling of togetherness.
To achieve all the goals the committee is taking help from all the villagers. The other members of this committee are: Mr. Munender Tyagi, etc.
