Bangalore's corporate honchos run for a cause
Corporate honchos from the country's IT hub ran for the cause of underprivileged children.

Corporate honchos from the country's IT hub ran for the cause of underprivileged children.
The 20-km relay race Sunday, 'Urban Stampede', was declared a success by the participants as well as the organisers.
A total of 312 runners in 78 teams took part.
'All the participants had a great time. We're happy to announce that we'll be donating a sizeable amount of the funds raised during the event for the cause of needy children,' Arvind Bharthi, manager of Runners for Life (the event organisers), told IANS.
The funds raised will be given to a local NGO, Dream A Dream, working for the cause of the needy children.
The relay was flagged off by national athlete and swimmer Shikha Tandon from a resort near the new international airport, about 35 km from the city centre. Divided in teams of four each, each runners covered a distance of five kilometres.
All the participants were honoured with medals and certificates. The winners got wooden plaques and vouchers.
