Sensex recovers to close in the green
Indian equties markets that opened in the red Monday and stayed in negative territory for much of the day staged a late recovery to close in the green. However, important sectoral indices like realty, automobiles, capitals goods, metals and power took a drubbing.

Indian equties markets that opened in the red Monday and stayed in negative territory for much of the day staged a late recovery to close in the green. However, important sectoral indices like realty, automobiles, capitals goods, metals and power took a drubbing.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 16,641.45 points and notched a high of 16,822.21 before closing at that mark. It gained 85.14 points or 0.51 percent compared to its close Friday.
The S and amp;P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), which opened at 4,981.00 points, closed at 5,013.95 after touching the day's high at 5,016.50. It gained 31.35 points or 0.63 percent from its previous close.
