Suzlon to supply wind power turbines to Spain
Suzlon Wind Energy A/S, an overseas arm of private wind power equipment firm Suzlon Energy Ltd, will supply wind power turbines to Spain, the company said Monday.

Suzlon Wind Energy A/S, an overseas arm of private wind power equipment firm Suzlon Energy Ltd, will supply wind power turbines to Spain, the company said Monday.
'The company has bagged an order for supply of 42.5 MW of wind power turbine capacity to a Eolia Renovables SRC and Iniciativas Energeticas SA-promoted Spanish company,' said a statement issued Monday.
'The contract is to be supplied through 22 units of Suzlon's 2.1 MW turbines,' it added.
'This is an exciting opportunity and we are very pleased to partner with Eolia Renovables SRC and Iniciativas Energéticas SA. We have a winning combination with Suzlon's experience in large, successful wind projects around the world and the client's considerable experience in the Spanish energy market,' said Erik Winter Pedersen, chief executive officer of Suzlon Wind Energy A/S.
According to the company, Suzlon has a combined manufacturing base of 2,700 MW of annual capacity a year located in countries like Belgium, China, India and the US.
The firm is undertaking an aggressive expansion programme to expand its capacity to 4,200 MW per annum by the end of this month.
