Inaugurating India Festival 2007 in Dubai, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has invited the international business community to invest in her state.
Raje invited both non-resident Indians (NRIs) and foreign business houses to invest in Rajasthan - 'the most peaceful, law abiding and healthy destination in the country'.
'We have put mechanisms in place for investors to participate in creating a better and brighter Rajasthan. Rajasthan offers opportunities like none other,' she said addressing the event Saturday evening.
Speaking to an array of business leaders, Raje mentioned how public-private partnerships were successfully working in the state in several sectors such as roads, energy, healthcare, education, water and food security.
She talked about her government's policy to promote private investments in healthcare facilities, adding that the state was looking at investments over Rs.20 billion in this sector alone.
Raje was also felicitated by non-resident Rajasthanis during her visit.
India Festival 2007 in Dubai is a first-of-its-kind event organised by Rajasthan's leading newspaper Rajasthan Patrika, providing a platform for showcasing the best of goods and services produced in India.
